Target:
The summer school is aimed at young researchers, PhD students and engineers in the automotive and transportation sector.
The program is designed for individuals who wish to deepen their expertise in electrical machines and drives, particularly in the context of green transportation systems. Participants should have a strong engineering background, either through current doctoral studies or professional experience. This initiative is ideal for those who want to stay at the forefront of industry innovation and network with leading academics and industry professionals in a dynamic and immersive environment.
Applications of highly motivated master’s degree students could be taken into consideration in exceptional cases.
Offer:
The Summer School offers one week experience, from 7th to 11th June 2027, which combines classroom lectures, seminars and company visits with networking opportunities, social events and cultural excursions. A PhD poster session is also included to give the possibility to Doctoral Candidates to share experiences and technical information about their projects. The best three poster presentations will be awarded during the gala dinner.

- final test for the recognition of PhD training credits – 6 ECTS. The test consists of a series of multiple-choice questions on the topic covered during the week
Participants:
The school has a limited number of places, which varies from year to year and it is usually around 20 seats.
The application process consists of filling out an online form. Selection is made via CV evaluation.
Selection Criteria:
- Be enrolled in or have recently completed a Master’s degree or a PhD in Engineering
- Be engineer working in the field of transportation.
